Antioch Church Baptist Church North is a historic landmark in the heart of Georgia, founded one hundred and thirty-three years ago. A handful of members in a dilapidated basement structure in the late 1800s, Antioch Church has grown to fourteen thousand members in a beautiful multi-level sanctuary. With such growth, the church identified the need to grow its audio and video as well. The quality and reliability of visual presentation is expected to be of the best pedigree, and they needed a solution to distribute extend AV signals over long distances due to the size and design of their system.

PureLink’s PureStream line of AV over IP encoders, decoders, and network switches were selected for their renowned reliability and quality. The solution: PureLink’s VIP-300H-U provided plug and play installation. Multiple sources were connected to their relative displays across a local network. The VIP-300H-U offers either fiber or category cable connectivity, in the case of the Antioch Church category cable was the best fit, along with fiber interlinks between the two VIP-NET-2404PP-1G network switches. All VIP-300H-U transmitters were quickly set to separate output stream channels using their front panel interface, and the receivers were set to match their corresponding signal. With very little time invested, the AV over IP extension system was online, and has now been in operation for many months with zero issues. Additional PureLink equipment was deployed in the sanctuary control room to handle all video/audio switching and distribution. An SX-8800 HDMI 2.0 UHD 4K 8×8 seamless matrix switch resides in the center of the control routing, accompanied by the UHD2-140 distribution amplifier. Preset automation provided by PureLink’s iCON-10W single gang 10 key touchpad allows the church’s tech team to quickly call presets for routing signal to the sanctuary’s four large projection screens, and confidence monitors.
